KEF has been supporting English education at primary schools since 2012 in cooperation with the DPRK Education Commission and the Carey Group, Australia.

Five rounds of English training courses have been arranged and three workshops abroad for writing textbooks have been attended by relevant people since then.

After an English training course for primary school teachers in Wonsan in cooperation with the Carey Group in October 2019, Education Commission, in cooperation with KEF, arranged a contest of English teachers of primary schools and local refresher courses for them.
