NKFHI is an organization of overseas Koreans who work in cooperation with KEF to improve the learning and living conditions of children and enhance the quality of education.

Since 2012 NKFHI, in cooperation with KEF, has contributed to the supply of snacks to orphanages and rural schools in different provinces by donating wheat flour and maize while helping food supply for workers engaged for construction of school buildings; it has helped health care of children by donating over two million tablets of parasiticide every year since 2016.

It also supported the construction of Taeryong Senior Middle School, Pongchon County, South Hwanghae Province, and the dormitory of Hwangju Middle School for Orphans so as to improve the learning conditions in keeping with the requirement for educational development, and has donated foreign books and references on good educational contents, methodologies and other kinds of information.
