One day in late October Juche 37 (1948) Kim Il Sung visited Printing Shop No. 1 of the National People’s Publishing House.

Around the time a project was going on to expand the production capacity of the shop as part of the preparation of primary compulsory education planned to be enforced soon.

Looking around several paper production processes he corrected a number of defects.

He asked the managing staff of the factory what they were short of. Replying that they wanted to have a rotary press and a casting machine to increase the textbooks production, they dropped their heads thinking their request was too much. They knew the country was not in such an economic situation to meet their request because the equipment needed a large amount of money. To their surprise, however, Kim Il Sung solved the problem which they thought was so baffling to solve–on the spot.

Thanks to the care of the leader who spared nothing for the rising generation the project for expanding the textbooks production capacity was completed successfully.
